Excellent rooms with basic amenities, however the temperature control is remotely controlled and frequently the rooms are increasingly uncomfortable temperature wise in regards to outside temperature. The outside air temperature may exceed 90 degrees yet the control for the internal temperature is never adjusted to compensate, resulting in hot/cold room temperature. Staff is friendly, cleanliness is above average and prompt response for any issues, excluding room temperature.
Decent place to stay if your military. Rooms are a good size and it's right on base.
I was staying here for schooling. My base reserved a suit for my 4-5 month stay at this location. I called and confirmed my reservation a week prior to arrival. Upon my arrival they told me I did not have a reservation, they would work magic. I ended up getting a regular room without a kitchen. After staying there for a month I made reservations for a suit to switch early on Saturday morning. I was informed I couldn't make the switch for some faulty logic that wasn't right. The counter agent told me I couldn't switch because my stay was longer then the reserved date. In actuality I reserved for November, the agent notified me it was August was the out date. I was then later called 7 hours later to confirm their mistake when I wasn't able to make the switch, at an unconvinced time. I confirmed that I would be able to do it Sunday evening or Monday. They called me early on Sunday when I wasn't back from my weekend outing to switch, I asked to make the switch that night. I was informed they would make the code "room not ready" so I could move anytime Monday. Following the Monday morning I was informed at 8am, that I had failed to check in. So by the time I was connected I was told the suit was no longer available and I failed to switch 3 times now. In my 8 years, this has been my worst experience with a Gateway Inn. I have never needed to make a review on any other thing besides this.
The rooms in the older buildings are a little run down, but spacious and have everything you need. Comfortable bed as well. Some rooms seemed slightly dirty
