I recently had to get my backflow checked because my water company sent me a notice to get it checked. I called Downs plumbing because I heard great things. When I contacted Downs I mentioned what I needed and also getting a quote for a gas line ran. Two guys came out and were very friendly but couldn't answer some questions I had about the gas line. Before they left he said he would give me 2 quotes one running a new line and one tapping into an existing I said great thank you. 1 week passes by and no call or email back. So I called up and they wrote my situation down and said someone will contact you. Another week passes by and I now received a letter from my water company saying you have 30 days to get the black flow checked or else it will be turned off! Without hesitating I called downs once again and they wrote down my situation and again told me someone will contact you. Another week (3) goes by and I call again and state my problem and again they tell me someone will contact me. The following day someone finally called me back. I told them they need to send the back flow paper to my water company before they turn it off in which I would need to pay a fee to turn it back on! They sent it off that day.
Two days after that I finally get one of my quotes for the gas line! But its only running a new pipe, Not tapping into the existing. I am very dissatisfied with the customer service Downs Plumbing has. I am constantly working with contractors and framers and I will not recommend Down Plumbing to anyone. If I made one of my customers wait over 3 weeks to receive a quote and when they call just keep giving them the run around I would bet I just lost their business.
