Food here is alright. Nothing to write home about, but it'll fill you up. The wait here have could be shorter, even with an empty restaurant there's still going to be a little of a wait. The place seems clean enough and the staff is friendly.
For quick food on the go, this is the best restaurant downtown for healthy, delicious food. Two words, chicken souvlaki.
I work in downtown Pensacola and being able to get food quickly by going to Pita Pit was a huge convenience. The staff were all friendly and super helpful. I never personally had any issues with sandwich quality or customer service. It is very sad that the downtown location closed on 22NOV17.
I would go to eat at Pita Pit from time to time on my lunch break. It is a convenient place for me that is within walking distance from my job in downtown Pensacola. The food is good for the price. However, the customer service really sucks. Today, I ordered a sandwich and ended up waiting a little, which is no problem. I thought that my order went amiss, so I got up and went to the food station to see what is going on. They started making my sandwich, so everything was still fine up until then.Towards the end of my sandwich being made, a female employee takes over to finish making it. I did not know why she was displaying her attitude towards me at all. The guy that was handling the grill had to step away for whatever reason. She rushed over in an irritable manner and started rolling up the sandwich without asking if I wanted anything else on it, she either did not care or did not know. I mentioned that I had ordered mushrooms and onions on my sandwich. She puts only the onions on the sandwich and rolls it up. She then asks me in a rude tone,"Do you want a bag?". I'm already annoyed by her demeanor at this point, so I just take the sandwich and leave. I am not happy with the poor customer service. I may not ever go back after being treated like that.
Chicken Slovakia was awesome, make sure to ask them to put the finished sandwich back on the grill top for an added warmth and crunch!
