If I could give a negative I would. Went in November to have my wife file for spousal SS to begin in Dec 2016. Have yet to receive it. She's called every month, can't get thru to local office. Seems the local agent hasn't filed the paperwork. Every agent we speak to all over the country for the last 4 months gives us a different answer. Can't even leave a voicemail for the agent handling our claim, S. Holley. We requested an appointment, haven't heard back in 2 weeks. Agent in Seattle said we shouldn't walk in. Agent in Cocoa Beach asked why haven't you walked in? So if anyone in the Pensacola office reads these reviews, please have agent S. Holley contact us.
Mr. Brecker? Braker? Not sure of the spelling or pronunciation but he is the most rude and condescending "man" I have spoken to in a very long time. He needs to be fired or at the very least transferred to a position where he doesn't interact with the public; or fellow employees, for that matter. People who are disabled have enough problems and don't need to deal with such rudeness. Guaranteed he thinks poorly of people on disability (as if we chose this horrid life). Or maybe he is just a miserable, unhappy person. I'd rather call the general number and wait an hour than call the local office and wait a fraction of the time if it means I have to talk to this pathetic excuse of a human.
Security guard is rude and talks down to the people going in the office. Should be fired ASAP.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! CORRUPT! They are liars. And, they discriminate against Native Americans. I submitted the necessary address-change documents, there, eight months ago. The information has yet to be updated. They have stonewalled me for months. THE PENSACOLA SSA OFFICE IS A CESSPOOL. PERIOD!
This office does not know what it's doing. I've gotten 5 different answers from 5 different reps. As important as it is to get through the bureaucracy, they need to be consistent with their information and they are not. I was told by one rep, get your paperwork in ASAP because that's important. Another one told me that it was unheard of to do that because it will just sit on someone's desk. Another told me that it wasn't important to make an appointment and to just drop off the paperwork in their drop box. Another one told me that they used to work at a branch where the boxes were never checked, so if at all possible, make an appointment but by then, it was too late. I took the advice of the first rep and dropped it off. I was given misinformation by a worker that said they had been there 25 years and that they knew for a fact that this is how things were yet I find out from another rep that what he told me was not true. It's like the Keystone Cops. Unbelievable. Meanwhile, claims get denied.
