The frist time I went to the library I checked out 2 books.... I returned them both at the same time, on time. 2 weeks latter I get notice for book "2" being overdue... So I call in and ask what is going on- and I tell them I returned them both. The lady haggled with me about what the computer was saying..Obviously, if i have an overdue notice that was clearly printed out by a 1980's printer.. the comp. is going to say the same. Oh, and on top of that.. she is telling me that in her computer system book "1" is acutally the one not returned instead of what I have printed out, book "2." I ask if they have security camera's that can prove I returned the two books, and she laughs and says no.. I then get her to go look on the shelf and she tells me the book has been rented out by someone else! REALLY?! Aye, upgrade your computers! Get some more help! Or whatever it takes to get your work done correctly or else everyone is going to end up oweing them money, which I am sure they need by looking over their selectiong. Come on now.... EPIC FAILURE!

Wonderful place and super people.
This is a really fine local library. I hope people living in the community appreciate it for the little jewel it is. This is how public dollars should be spent. A friend living in Perdido Key told me to stop in. Thinking that an unusual recommendation for a condo shopping vacation stop, I visited. I've used libraries all over the country and this one stands out. It's not the biggest or the most extravagant but it's well equipped and the staff create a cordial and welcoming atmosphere. Hats off to those folks. When I had a computer problem I received competent and patient help, coupled with a smile. No put-downs or condescension or feeling I was interfering with their day. You can sense they work well together and they seem to like one another. That rubs off. I think the affect is that patrons sense the tone and feel genuinely welcome. This kind of atmosphere is no accident. It's good management with good people. I stopped in multiple times with a coffee (from McD's) to read the papers and browse the movies and use the much appreciated computers (2 kiosks of updated-free- computers with printing and copying available at a reasonable price). The library books are a base for an array of really useful services and advice. I applied for a library card use it. While I won't go so far as to say this was the deciding factor, it helped inform our purchase decision. This little library is a community treasure and a value to be shared by all.
Nice little library branch located west of NAS. Good selection of children's books and media. Staff is friendly and helpful for the most part.
