I was overall pretty appalled at the management of this Aveda salon. When I don't show up for work, I am reprimanded. The salon offered no consolation for the unprofessional behavior of their employees and the whole place is not a pleasant experience. Its the windowless basement of department store. Considering the competition, they should re evaluate their customer service experience.
Stacy is absolutely amazing! My friend and I came in before a formal event and she took great care of us. She did my updo which I was in love with, fixed my friend's falling curls before we left, and did our makeup flawlessly. Thank you so much!
I received a cut and color here and I was extremely happy with the results! My whole experience there was great. I arrived and was immediately taken to get my hair done. Everyone was very friendly. I love the fact that they use aveda products. I tried to achieve a certain color with a different hair salon and they couldn't get the right tone but here they gave me the exact color I wanted. I would highly recommend coming here!!
And I have been coloring my own hair for a while now . Well the last time I did it, it turned orange. Philip got me in the next day and corrected hair hair to the perfect color and tone

I don't normally do reviews on companies or anything. However, this time I felt the need to post. Our stylist Brooke was absolutely amazing! Words actually cannot even begin to describe. My wife and daughter got the best service and cut I have ever seen. The chair side manner was incredible. She not only kept a 2 year old toddler totally calm during her trim up but she gave my wife a cut that restore her self confidence. As a stay at home mother of two, that means everything. So thank you Brooke and the staff at aveda. If I could give 10 stars I would.
Philip was pleasant to talk with and very professional. It wasn't cheap - but totally worth it

Let me preface this review by saying I'm a big Aveda fan. I used to go to the Aveda institute in St. Petersburg, FL and always had enjoyable experiences, despite that STUDENTS were cutting my hair/applying makeup. There, you were offered hot tea while you wait and everyone was super polite and prompt. I visited the Dillard's Aveda salon on two occasions. The first time, I had my hair and makeup done for a work Holiday party and it looked fabulous. So, I decided to go back and have the same stylist cut my hair. I scheduled a 10:30am appointment at least a week in advance and arrived on time. After about 20 minutes of waiting, my stylist, Brooke, still hadn't showed up for the appointment. They called her on her cell, but she didn't answer. The staff provided no explanation for her absence and almost no apology. I saw the receptionist mention to what appeared to be the manager that Brooke hadn't showed up for work, but neither seemed concerned about me waiting. After 30 minutes the receptionist asked if I wanted to have someone else cut my hair. I agreed because I desperately needed a cut and had things to do that day instead of wait. I felt bad for the stylist who ended up cutting my thick, long hair. She tried her best to put in the layers I asked for, but by now, I'm used to not getting the haircut I want. BUT, she was completely inept at blow drying my hair!! She literally didn't know how to section out my hair and hold the dryer. She halfway blow dried my hair and when she "finished", it was completely puffed up and frizzy. So, she attempted to remedy the situation by applying A TON of some healing oil. I ended up with a greasy, puffy, bad cut. I look forward to salon visits and the whole experience totally ruined my day.
