Trolley ride and guided tour were worth the time. Our guides were each funny and very knowledgeable.
LOVE this place! Very well maintained facility, friendly staff and volunteers and if course the exhibits are fantastic.
Visited this stately place a few months ago, and was duly impressed, even when I didn't get to see the Blue Angles take to the sky due to a rainstorm. I appreciated the extensive collection of historical artifacts and friendly smiles from the workers. The only irks were the recycling bins, who seemingly played an hours-long game of hide-and-seek from me and three of the cafe's plastic water bottles I ended up carrying around. The bottles got the tour, too! Also the statues out front were really nice.
The National Naval Aviation Museum is Great, planes are everywhere with lots of info and people standing by to help you understand anything. This is a great place for kids to visit with lots of things for them to see and learn. There is a cafe there with great food, a snack bar for movies. There is the main museum with a hanger out back. The main museum is two levels. Bathrooms are nice and clean and are throughout the museum. The museum is on base and you will have to tell the guard where you are going and they will hand you a pass to the museum. The Museum is free to enter but there are a few things that will cost money such as, food, 4D movie, Movies. There are water stations there that are free if you take a water bottle. The Museum store is quiet larges and lots of Blue Angels and other Aviation things that can become yours.
Highly recommend this to anyone.
Fun, family friendly environment that's very educational and interesting! If you enjoy taking photographs this is the place for you! They had multiple exhibits you could go in or sit on that kids as well as adults were posing with. This is not a quick trip place. It took our group over 2 hours and we didn't have time to read and see everything.
This place is AWESOME!!! There are so many planes to see and so much history to take in. If you love planes and the military plan to take several hours here. The Blue Angels also perform a small 30 minute show here during the day.
